World Monitoring Day is celebrated each year to celebrate the signing of the Clean Water Act!
Over 350 participants gather to take water samples and test water quality for parameters including dissolved oxygen, acidity (ph), turbidity and temperature. Participants include students of all ages from local area schools.

Participants also enjoy watching water quality videos, visiting exhibits including the SPLASH booth, and an interactive Enviroscape model showing water movement andpotential sources of stormwater pollution in different environments.
